It’s May and that means we’ll be celebrating Moms and Memorial Day in the following weeks. At Idaho Estate Planning, we think both of these holidays are important, but today we’ll be focusing on how our team is celebrating Vets.
If you haven’t heard yet, our team has set a pretty audacious goal: to talk to at least 1,111 Vets about the Aid & Attendance (or Pension) Benefit.
Why 1,111 Vets?
You might remember that the end of the Great War was marked on the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. Our goal is to see, visit with, reach out to, help in any way, 1,111 vets, widows of vets or families of vets this year. We’ve named our effort Vet 11/11 to commemorate the date and the number of people (1,111) we want to help this year.
How are we doing it?
Lots of ways! For example, we’re offering free workshops for anyone who wants to host us. So if you know of a group who could benefit from hearing about Aid & Attendance, we’d love to present to them. Just fill out this form and we’ll be in touch. In the past, we’ve presented to church and civic groups, assisted living facilities, in libraries, to Veterans groups, and more. If you gather the group, we’ll provide the workshop.
How can you help?
Let us know if you have a group we could speak with. Or, if you aren’t involved personally but know someone who could connect us, we’d love to talk with them. Like we said, it’s a big goal and we’d love to reach as many groups as possible.
If you know a Vet who served during wartime or the spouse of a Vet, we can help them apply for the Pension Benefit. So please, send them our way. Talking to Vets one-on-one is a little more time-consuming, but we are happy to meet anyone who can use the information.
Contact us today if you can help us with our goal. We’d love to speak to your group!
